Josie Zinninger is the founder of Lakeland Montessori and serves as the Executive Director, a non-voting officer (Treasurer) of the non-profit corporation, as well as having two daughters that have graduated from the school. Mrs. Zinninger graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Summa Cum Laude, with a degree in Psychology and Business. She has a diversified background in education, law, finance, real estate and construction. Moving to Polk County from the Chicago area in 1998, she recognized the need for high quality choice options for education in the Polk County area. Ms. Zinninger is wholeheartedly committed to continuing to provide a Montessori educational opportunity that develops peaceful and responsible leaders for tomorrow’s world.   

Jessica Hutchens serves as the Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director. Mrs. Hutchens graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with an emphasis in the areas of Psychology and Sociology. She has a warm presence and a dedicated commitment to children.

Laurie Harris serves as the Secretary at Lakeland Montessori. Mrs. Harris has worked as a Secretary for many years. She has excellent customer service and organizational skills and is readily available to help our students and parents. Her smile brightens up our office!
